Govt College, Nalwa is situated in remote
rural area in Hisar District on Tosham-Hisar main road 25Km away in
South-east from Hisar and the college feeds to the students of 15
Villeges.
The College was established in 1981 with a
motive of providing higher education to the students of rural area. It
is presently affiliated to GJU & ST Hisar. The College offers
courses for undergraduate classes in two streams B.A. and B.Com.The
college possesses required infrastructure for the students. It includes a
rich library with books on all subjects, well-equipped labs in the
subjects of Computer Science, Geography, and Psychology. The college
also has well ventilated classrooms, one common room for girls and
reading room in the Library. The education through Satellite is given to
students and for this there is well-maintained Edusat room. Special
care is taken of SC and BC students through Govt. Schemes like stipends
etc. Special Classes are taken from time to time for weak students. To
take care of physical fitness of the students, a gymnasium is there with
modern equipment. The college also has playgrounds for Kho-Kho,
Kabaddi, Badminton, Cricket etc.
For the all-round development of the
personality of the students the college provides the facilities for the
preparation of various competitions related to cultural activities and
academics. The college is in rural area but we hope that it will grow
and develop which will give education to a larger number of aspirants to
achieve their cherished goals in the life.
